I would like to introduce my Family

Hello and Welcome
I'm Angie thank you for taking time to visit, most of the conditions on my site are related to members of my family. My Husband Mark has been as dedicated to building this site as I have. We thought it be would be helpful to help raise peoples awareness and to understand the conditions listed on this site. Just below I would like to tell you about my family...

Mark my Husband, he's a great Dad to our four children. Mark has mild OCD We realised if we wanted any support or information we were on our own. We spent three long years learning about these conditions listed on this site. The three years have been a frustrating time, wondering whether the system was going to change. We have realised this hasn't happened yet so we thought we would try and get it across through this site. One familiar question we find regarding autism would be, " is Autism the same as Dustin Hoffman in Rainman"

Mark jnr, has severe ADHD, Tourettes Syndrome, with associated Tic's and has been given a diagnosis of an Autistic Spectrum Disorder, he also has OCD. He found school difficult, because he has problems with change we noticed this when he moved up a year at school. He was always commenting that the teachers didn't understand him. When he got diagnosed I decided to take some information into school hoping this would help the teachers understand, and try and cope with his outbursts. I have dedicated the Tourettes page to my Son please feel free to look..

Katie who is an easy going girl but finds her brother difficult to cope with, he can be very bossy with her at times. She has learnt to give as good as she gets from him now. She had been displaying facial tics, but she does not have any problems like her brother or sister, She done very well at school and now has a full time job.

Chloe` who is under diagnosis for an Autistic Spectrum Disorder and has been since she was 3. She is a challenge where behaviour is concerned and always needs constant attention, she has lots of fears and hates change. We are hoping to receive her diagnosis sometime this year, I have wrote more about Chloe` on my behaviour page. Please let me know if you have similar problems, because as we have learned that autism in kids seems more present in boys than girls..

Courtney once had speech problems when she was 3yrs old and we were told that it was between 12-18 months delay. She received speech therapy every week, She can be very obsessive about the way she likes things, and is a very fussy eater. She doesn't have any problems and seems to be doing really well at school.
